Beginning Rock Band
Cost is $40/month for students enrolled in private lessons at MLE and $50/month for non-MLE students, plus a one-time registration fee of $10. Limit of 6 students.

Beginning Rock Band is a 60 minute weekly class open to students ages 12 and up who have basic proficiency on guitar, bass, vocals, or drums (other instruments considered). Students will learn the basics of playing and improvising as a team in a fun and energetic environment. The instructor for this class is guitarist Thomas Clippinger.

The Florida Society Youth Orchestras program (FSYO) is an outreach of Javacya Arts Conservatory, which has provided quality music in Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, but primarily in the Tallahassee area for over 30 years. This new subsidiary, FSYO, is designed especially for beginning students with little to no previous musical experience, preschool through high school.Instruction is available for strings, winds, brass and percussion. Students participate in weekly workshop style classes, recitals, outreach performances, as well as monthly master classes, lectures, and group classes which are presented by renowned faculty-artists from the States and abroad, plus local graduate students.

Ghent started DJ'ing events and weddings back in the mid 2000's under the name “DJ Weezy”, so don't be thrown off if he looks a little familiar. He has since evolved artistically and professionally into who we now know as “Ghent The DJ”. Ghent can been found DJ'ing at some of Tallahassee's biggest parties and events, including Cancuns famous Cinco De Mayo party and Tallahassee's Warrior Project, football games and proms, and some of Tallahassee's hottest spots such as Level 8, Cancuns and our very own mainstage! This class will focus on the earliest stages of development (for babies up to 1 year). Please note that this class will be conducted on the floor. We will have floor mats, but you may wish to bring a blanket from home. Chairs readily available if needed.
